After analysis of the entire space available for the master suite, and desire to design and locate a pool bath with access to the rear, a new layout for the project was designed. The master bedroom was relocated eliminating the long hallway, thus capturing the space to increase the size of the master closet. The master bedroom was specifically designed to accommodate the homeowner’s furniture, a television and sitting area. A new larger master closet was located and designed, and was fitted with a custom closet system. The master bathroom was located to the rear of the wing, providing a large shower with seat, multiple shower heads, and a glass block window to provide natural light. The custom vanities were designed and provided gracious spaces for Her and Him using vertical space, large mirrors and custom lighting. The free standing vintage tub was designed to be a focal point located in the bay window and a pavilion ceiling was constructed. A private water closet was also located. Finally, the pool bath with sink, toilet and hooks for hanging towels was designed with a new door access and stoop to the rear yard and pool. The pool bath also has access into the master bathroom. Locating both bathrooms to the rear centralized the plumbing lines. A custom designed tile and stone mosaic floor followed the contours of the space. The mosaic was also used as a feature strip in the shower. Custom designed ebony stained mahogany cabinets and comprehensive lighting design provided an ambiance of relaxation and spa environment.
