First, a great local architect with full knowledge and appreciation for Colonial Architecture was hired to complete the designs and consultations on the project. The new interior design served the needs of a growing family, where the individuals required their own space for enjoyment of the arts, sports, studying and contemplation. The Jack and Jill bathroom was remodeled for the son’s sole use, a new bathroom was added for the daughter’s sole use. A third bathroom was added off of the recreation area which also serves as the guest bathroom. A beautiful gaming area was added inside that includes a guest suite, dart room, video game area, paneled bar area and a large paneled pool table room that can be used for board games, videos, music or study. A rear stair was added to the gaming area for maximum comfort and functionality. The beefy pocket doors to this area are tongue and grooved to deter sound from the remainder of the home. The exterior space serves an excellent purpose for this family’s lifestyle as well. The new rear porch houses a beautiful fireplace for study, entertainment or contemplation. The new rear patio is large enough to house historic furniture for entertainment and includes a wall fountain that adds to the serenity of life on this patio. A new two car garage is very spacious and includes a wash basin sink for hobby. The architecture is superb from the interior panel detail that includes specific rope moldings, to the chip-n-dale rail system on the side porch and garage cover, to the new copper gutters and downspouts that include handmade collector heads, to the limestone fireplace, pickled porch ceiling and climaxing at the front porch detail. It’s extraordinary detail includes a meticulously laid out panel system that carries into the arched ceiling, bull nose blue stone treads that houses built-in lights, copper trim details atop columns and capitals to the fully welded railing system that is capped with bronze custom finials.
