The symmetry and balance of the whole structure is well represented from the street elevation. Also it is enhanced with the addition of the ogee shaped outriggers and large brackets located on the chamfered columns. All the lighting is subtle and shows off the Trellis at night with up lighting and column mounted sconces. The herringbone patterned pavers on the ground also help shape the overall look and shape of the Trellis and Comfort Station. Using a non-rot and non-wood material on the Trellis helps the quality and longevity of the product, and looks great. The look of wood products is shown without the concern that wood presents with rot and cupping. The Contractor overcame obstacles in dealing with the materials used and design of the project to make the overall look be exactly what the client wanted in the end and more. A beautiful water fountain was incorporated into the design, which provides a focal point, as well as a relaxing space for community patrons. The Trellis meets all their required seating needs from the table and chairs to the benches located adjacent to the water fountain.
