We installed temporary walls of plastic and tape in the stairwell area of the 2nd floor to contain the dust as much as possible. We constructed an exterior stairway, referred to as the stairway to heaven in our company circle, which provided construction access to the third floor during all demolition and framing. It branched from a dormer window on the third floor. All wood stair railing, picket and tread features were matched exactly to the existing, and we continued the existing stairwell system seamlessly to the new third floor area. This quality added a lot of value and spaciousness to the existing second floor hallway of the home. The pizzazz was dictated by the architect and brought to life by us. We didnt run from the sloped ceilings created by the roof line, but instead, we fabricated the entertainment center wall into a curved piece of art. It bows out in radius form and also rises as it follows the roof lines. The custom storage doors flank the tv and are slanted to match to match the sloped roof line. -Photos courtesy of Neffworks Photography
