The back wall of the home was removed and a charming informal dining room was constructed off the existing kitchen. A gable roof above maintains the roof pitch of existing home which saddled into the roof garage. The newly designed space is large enough to fit the one-of-a-kind 10 person table and the custom cabinetry offers itself as a serving and beverage area. The lighting design used natural and artificial light to warm the space. A large bay window floods the new room with natural light and the additional recessed lighting offers a warm and inviting feeling. A new roof was built over the existing blue stone patio. A modern screen system and column design provides a comfortable outdoor seating area protected from the elements. Traditional tongue and groove bead board ceiling incorporated two skylights and a ceiling fan to serve form and function. Millwork and hardware chosen offer a seamless connection to the home. A new foundation was formed to accommodate the additional space for the grill station just off the screen porch and dining area for ease of use. Brick and blue stone were matched perfectly to original elements for a flawless look. An attractive window seat was incorporated inside the bay window creating a place to read and added storage. The cabinets in the breakfast room offer 12’+ of space to display and protect serving pieces.
