This addition gave Andrew Roby a showcase for its extraordinary, top-of-the-line skills in traditional and architectural detail. Working closely with the architect, Roby performed a tremendous amount of custom work to meet the homeowner's desires. From asbestos shingles, copper guttering details and custom windows, doors and transoms on the exterior to three-piece crown molding and two-piece chair railing on the interior, Roby went to great lengths to make sure the new work was congruous with the old structure. Despite the difference in age between the addition and the original structure, the two are virtually indistinguishable today.
