A study in details. The owners wanted to add pizzazz to a kitchen that had been renovated only five years earlier. The greatest triumph - and biggest obstacle - was the scale of the products. In addition to oversize, professional-grade appliances, the massive limestone counters and granite peninsula - a one-piece slab eight feet long and four feet wide - required attentive planning and careful construction. Likewise, the custom cabinetry with radius faces, scrolled bracket feet and arch tops recalled classic French design.
