Andrew Roby is back at work planning its 2nd annual fundraiser benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). The generosity and reception we received last year, along with an overwhelming amount of appreciation from LLS, has motivated us to do it again.
Thanks to everyone involved in last fall’s “Pitchin’ Corn for a Cure” cornhole tournament, we were able to raise more than $30,000 for LLS. This year Trent Haston has been asked to serve as chairman of LLS’s “Light the Night Walk” and our company team has increased our fundraising goal to $40,000.
When we decided to get involved last year, our initial concern was how people would respond to our cause. Like so many other causes, it can be difficult to understand their importance without experiencing the effects first hand. Unfortunately, cancer will affect many of us in our lifetimes and our team believes we shouldn’t wait for something to happen to us or a loved one before getting involved.
We have taken the initiative at Andrew Roby to support LLS and ask that you partner with us to help fight cancer. Being diagnosed with cancer forces you into making a difference out of necessity. Far too many patients never have that opportunity, which is why it is the people who choose to help, before they ever have to, that make all the difference.
